Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Frankfurt

Take a short cruise on the romantic river Rhine and transfer to Wiesbaden.

Day 2 - Wiesbaden

Guided tour including the Russian Church. Afternoon to Mainz to see visit the Gutenberg Museum.

Day 3 - Wiesbaden to Heidelberg

Journey to Trier this morning visit the amazing Roman ruins including Porta Nigra, the Imperial Baths, St Barbara’s Baths & The Amphitheatre. Also stop to visit the Luther Monument at Worms before continuing to the ancient university town of Heidelberg, beautifully set by the river Neckar.

Day 4 - Heidelberg to Titisee, Black Forest

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Heidelberg including a visit to the famous ruined Castle - one of the noblest examples of the German Renaissance. We take a scenic drive through the Black Forest to Titisee - boat ride across the still lake.

Day 5 - Titisee to Mainau to Garmisch

A spectacular scenic journey unfolds as you follow the shores of Lake Constance. Visit the garden island of Mainau with its tropical and sub-tropical plants and flowers. Continue to Garmisch.

Day 6 - Garmisch to Munich

This morning we drive to Munich. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of Munich including the Marienplatz, Residenz & Deutches Museum.

Day 7 - Munich to Wurzburg

Leave Munich and take the delightful scenic route along the Romantik Road. Arrive in Rothenburg, a completely preserved medieval town surrounded by ancient walls and towers. Guided tour old town. Continue to Wurzburg.

Day 8 - Wurzburg to Eisenach

This morning we drive to visit Eisenach & visit ancient Wartburg Castle where Luther translated the bible.

Day 9 - Eisenach to Weimar

This morning drive to Erfurt - guided tour of the old city including St Peter’s Cathedral, St Severin and Kramer bridge. This afternoon we drive to the delightful historic city of Weimar - our guided tour includes Goethe’s House, Schiller House and Stadtkirche’s Cranach Triptych.

Day 10 - Weimar to Leipzig

This morning journey to the city of Leipzig - which Goethe dubbed ‘little Paris’. Home to many famous artists and musicians - Wagner, Bach, Schiller amongst them. Our guided tour includes St Thomas Kirche, St Nicholas and the 16th century Altes Rathaus.

Day 11 - Leipzig to Berlin

We journey towards Berlin and stop just a few miles west to visit enchanting Potsdam. Visit the incredible Sans-Souci Palace and Park, designed by Peter Joseph Lenne in the late 18th century, the finest example of architecture and landscape in Germany. Continue to Berlin, the vibrant capital.

Day 12 - Berlin

This morning enjoy a guided orientation tour of this exciting city, taking in the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, the Riechstag, the State Opera House, Alexanderplatz, Potsdam Platz and ending with a visit to the emotive Check-point Charlie Museum. In the afternoon you will have a guided tour of Museum Island with a visit to the world-famous Pergamon museum.

Day 13 - Departure from Berlin

Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
